Help Spread the word – Refer a Buddy!
Word of mouth has been SAYL’s number one source of recruiting many wonderful volunteers. It’s volunteers like you who share our passion and goals that give us the opportunity to continuously promote healthy reading habits to the many children in need. There are far more students in need of a Reading Buddy than we currently have volunteers. Last year alone, over 400 students were left unmatched. And now we’re calling on our current volunteers to recruit new Buddies to the program!
We will be kicking-off the 2020 Spring Semester with our “Refer A Buddy” campaign to increase our capacity in meeting these needs. We hope this campaign will create new ways for SAYL to grow and encourage more San Antonio students to become life-long readers.
Every new Reading Buddy you recruit will not only increase the number of students we are able to serve but will give you and your new Buddy the chance to win prizes as well! For every new Buddy you refer, you and your new Buddy will be entered into a drawing for gift cards, SAYL swag & more!
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Step 1: Share your experiences as a Reading Buddy with friends, family members, and co-workers.
Step 2: Have them complete our online volunteer application and sign up for a Reading Buddy Training session now through February.
Step 3: Once your new Buddy attends training, you and your recruit will be entered to win great prizes.
Contest starts December 1, 2019 until February 29, 2020
Drawing will be on Friday, March 6, 2020
